Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (known as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone in North America), was first published on this day in 1997. Today, we commemorate J.K. Rowling’s beloved characters, as well as the wisdom we acquired while following them in their journey. There are hundreds of Harry Potter quotes that have helped shape us into better humans.
