First, Attack on Titan Season Two:
[Brief synopsis; not too many spoilers. Still, your call.]
In this first episode, we get to see all of the main characters. Levi, Eren, Mikasa, Armin, Erwin all grace the screen for short periods of time. We find Eren regaining consciousness after the events of the season finale with a tired Mikasa waiting by his side. Armin only makes an appearance to alert the pair that the wall has been breached. Levi and Erwin are seen strategizing before deploying themselves to the front lines.
That being said, the episode invested more time in introducing us to two phenomenons. The first is the existence of titans trapped inside the walls themselves, and the second, the existence of an abnormal titan (looking like Harambe brought back to life) who can speak the human language and control the rest of the titans. We also get to see others like Sasha (my personal fave) as the wheels start turning for what looks like a promising second season.
Cardcaptor Sakura OVA:
There are good news and bad news. The good news is that a trailer was indeed released during the “Sakura Fes 2017 ~Cardcaptor Sakura Birthday Gathering~.” It has long been speculated that the much anticipated trailer would announce the release of a new Cardcaptor season. Instead, the trailer corresponds to an OVA meant to serve as a prequel to Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card-hen, which is a direct sequel to the original Cardcaptor Sakura manga.
The OVA will be released along with the third volume of the manga arc on September 13. That being said, an anime based on this arc is on the way, but it’s not expected until early 2018 (which, in anime time means 2020 or something). Now, that doesn’t mean that there isn’t reason to be thrilled. The OVA picks up where we left off (albeit a slight jump in time, as it appears), and all of our favorites are featured. Toya and Yukito will definitely appear in the OVA as well as Eriol and Syaoran (you can breathe now). Obviously, Sakura’s main companions Kero and Tomoyo will be making appearances as well.
For now, enjoy the trailer:
