In case you missed it, last night marked the premier of HBO’s stellar new sci-fi drama, Westworld. Based on the 1973 thriller directed by Michael Chrichton, Westworld is about a popular theme park in which the robots occupying it begin to self-actualize and rebel against their creators. Think Groundhog Day meets Ex Machina. If that doesn’t give you pause, then hold on to your hats. Westworld’s milk-drinking, Shakespeare-quoting, fly-killing, formally-cannibalistic robots are guaranteed to give you chills.
Needless to say, we’ve got questions. How many lives has Dolores lived? Who was she before the Dolores that we’ve been introduced to? Could Teddy be any more adorable? What makes crusty, Anthony Hopkins-looking dudes think that ‘playing God’ is okay? Who knew that Ed Harris, a man of 65, would look so good (and terrifying) in all black? Where can we get our hands on that copy of Paint it Black? WHAT’S WITH THE MILK?
As a means of coping with out emotions, TNL took to Twitter post-premier to round up some of our favorite fan reactions.
